[Ottawa, ON – February 6, 2024] – Tomlinson Group of Companies is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the ORBA Green Leadership and Sustainability Award for the third time. This recognition highlights our commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability practices within our organization.

In recent years, our dedicated team has been diligently working on tracking and reporting fleet energy consumption and emissions. In 2024, we took significant steps towards achieving our goal of reducing carbon emissions resulting from the idling time of heavy equipment and trucking operations.

The success of this initiative was made possible by the unwavering commitment of our field team, who demonstrated exceptional awareness and took proactive measures to reduce the idling time of the machinery they operate daily. Across 288 projects we worked on in 2024, we successfully reduced the idling time of our fleet by 2.12%, resulting in the avoidance of 159,724 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions.
